PROGEN secures BMBF funds for joint gene therapy project

The German government has granted a 6-digit Euro funding sum for a joint project that improves viral-based gene transfer for future therapies.

 

Heidelberg, 28.09.2016 − PROGEN Biotech GmbH today announced, that the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has granted a 6-digit Euro funding sum for a joint project aimed at the development of innovative technologies for the generation of viral vectors. Scientists from Hannover Medical School (MHH), Braunschweig University of Technology (TUBS), YUMAB GmbH in Braunschweig as well as from PROGEN will cooperate to improve gene transfer efficacy.
